Advanced Mini Storage I - Monte Diablo

For a company in the business of storing hundreds of different people's personal items, charging additional "Insurance" rent, claiming to be exempt of rodent/insect infestation/damage/destruction because of some verbage in the lease agreement, (Which is nothing but an attempt to fool and dissuade an uniformed person of taking legal action) yet not effectively remedying these issues is extremely devious and irresponsible. I began renting from this business over a year ago. My rent has increased multiple times, yet they don't seem to want to invest in necessary, standard, basic upkeep or repairs of their business. I found mice and or rat droppings all over the inside of my unit! I made the staff aware of this problem. They gave me a few packs of poison for my storage unit. Roaches have entered and infested my unit! I made the staff aware of this, they sprayed a bit of Ortho Home Defense at the front entrance of my unit. I brought some of my items home that had been in storage for a year, some books, pictures, along with some pieces of furniture. I was very diligent about going through every book page, searching for signs of roaches before I brought them into my home; yet I found roaches in my car and worse, in my home! I had to have my home sprayed with insecticides! I notified the staff about this, asked for some compensation in the form of a month free storage, for my serious inconveniences and additional money it cost me, the owner denied me that courtesy. I called the office to notify them of the ongoing infestation of rodents. I was told that they would call me in the morning after they could "Get to Home Depot to pick up poison." The promised morning phone call turned into the afternoon, I wasn't available to answer the call or meet them by that much later time. In my opinion, the owner will most likely continue to neglect to rectify basic concerns and complaints of damage from customers who keep him in business, until someone takes legal action.

I've been renting a couple of storage units from AMS for a couple of years. I'm very pleased with my choice. Shelli, the property manager, is wonderful! She's friendly, communicative and ready to resolve any issue that may arise. I'd chose AMS again and again.

I was looking for quality storage space and was referred to Advanced storage by a friend. When I went inside I had my 2 year old son with me, we both had a very long day but the customer Shelli C. provided was amazing! She is an angel. Shelli made the process smooth and easy for me and my son . She gave him markers , paper and a snack while her and I went over the paper work. When we went to my storage unit it was very clean very professional. 10/10 highly recommended
