Ample Storage Center

There is a great deal of storage facilities here in Rocky Mount. However, I have to honestly say, renting from Ample Storage has been one of the best experiences. We love the fact of the great customer service that we receive, the cleanliness of the units and how they pride themselves on making sure the buildings themselves are clean. We are grateful for the temperature control of the units. Overall, since being a customer for almost 4 years now, it has been an enjoyable experience.

This place is the absolute worst if you expect good customer service. The lady at the counter is the rudest most blunt and loud person I have ever run across my entire life. When my husband and I went to rent a unit, she had no intention of helping us and focused on other customers who even entered the establishment after my husband and I did . It seemed like she knew those people , so maybe we didn't matter. Its poorly run with such awful staffing who have no idea what they are doing. I had been told by some friends here that management was good there , however we were ill-informed . I would not recommend this facility for storage due to poor customer service.

Three praises and a caution! First of all, I really appreciate that they have a staffed office where I could call and speak to a live person. They do have online options, but I had just been through an ordeal with another local storage place where their online system was broken and no one would answer the phone, so it was much appreciated. The man I spoke to was awesome! He was very polite and helped me get into a storage unit less than 30 minutes after he picked up the phone. They have really reasonable prices! Just go in with the understanding that the dimensions of the unit are for the outside. If you get a unit that is 10 feet long, it does not measure 10 feet from one side of the inside to the other. Definitely not a deal breaker for me, but something to be aware of!
