Extra Space Storage

Brooke has been incredibly helpful in assisting us with our long term storage needs. As our space requirements have changed, she has helped us navigate through the best options for us. We are now moving into our third unit at this facility and could not be happier. The facility is spotlessly clean, we know our possessions are safe, amd the customer device we get from Brooke and her associates is second to none.

Brooke was awesome! She came all the way to my location to bring me a lock. She always answered all my questions and just puts customer satisfaction first! Highly recommend

The rat pictured is one of seemingly several to have infested my Extra Space Storage unit (Unit 1043 on Belcher Rd. S. in Largo). The other image is of droppings (and styrofoam from a new, still boxed piece of exercise equipment) and a urine stain. There was no food source in the unit -- only woodworking tools, yard tools and exercise equipment. In addition to the rats, the unit had roaches and ants -- and lizards, which were feeding on these otherwise uncontrolled pests. I requested a cleanup, and they refused. I requested help moving out, and they refused. I requested compensation for the cost of the two movers and a truck I had to hire to vacate the unit, and they refused. Renter beware... I was told by the onsite property manager that I would receive contact information for someone within their corporate structure, but this information was not provided. I have made calls to their corporate office in Utah, but the phone system directs me back to the rental site. They did tell me that I should have purchased *their* insurance -- though I am not making a claim for any contents, despite having to clean off rat droppings and urine. I have requested only a reimbursement for the expense of moving out. Not sure of the risk from exposure to rats and all they leave behind, but the smell was horrible...
