Extra Space Storage

I would not recommend this facility. -There are homeless people camping under the nearby overpass, which makes the area feel unsafe. -Parking is poorly designed with no clearly defined spaces. -Access is inconvenient—you have to enter your code every single time you go in, which makes moving items in and out a hassle. -The floors are dirty, and the building appears poorly maintained. There is only one elevator per side, so you often have to wait. -I also noticed mouse droppings throughout the facility, which is unacceptable for a storage business.

The building itself looks nice, but as I drove by it's in an isolated area. Looks like there is a homeless encampment hidden in the corner of the building plus a few more homeless people hanging around. Not sure if they are tenants? I wouldn't be so worried but there are no other buildings around to more or less self patrol the area.

I rented a unit with Extra Space Self Storage expecting transparent pricing and a straightforward experience. Unfortunately, my experience mirrors what New York City recently alleged in a major lawsuit against the company — bait-and-switch pricing that feels like pricing manipulation. When I signed up, the advertised rate was reasonable, but within a short time my monthly cost jumped dramatically, far beyond what I was led to expect. I never received clear advance notice of these increases and it felt like I was being trapped into paying more just to keep my belongings stored. To add insult to injury, the quality of the unit and facility didn’t match what was marketed — another common theme in customer complaints cited by city officials. I would not trust this company to be upfront about pricing or fair in how they treat customers. If you’re looking for reliable storage with honest pricing, choose someone else. Extra Space’s pricing tactics cost me time, money, and trust.
