Midgard Self Storage

I want to share my experience with Midgard Self Storage because I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. I rented a temperature-controlled unit here for 3 years. I chose climate control specifically to protect my belongings — especially sentimental items from my father who passed away. When I recently went to empty my unit, I was shocked and devastated. Everything was covered in mold. The building beams above my unit were leaking badly, and the HVAC system had mold all over it. It’s obvious this wasn’t new — the leaks and mold look like they’d been ignored for a long time. I have photos and videos documenting the leaks, the moldy HVAC unit, and the damaged structure. Nearly all my possessions were ruined, including irreplaceable items I can never replace. This facility promises “temperature-controlled” storage, but clearly does not maintain the building, roof, beams, or HVAC systems needed to actually provide that. I am heartbroken and extremely disappointed. If you are considering renting here, please be aware that your items are at serious risk due to poor maintenance and neglect. Also there is a clause in the agreement exempting the insurance to cover mold beware.

Lee was extremely helpful when I called today about my unit. She was professional and polite and helped me with every question that I had. She provided information and solutions in a way that I wish more businesses would do. Great customer service. I have used this company over five years now and really appreciate the way they treat customers.
