This is storage. There are going to be pests, there are going to be climate control issues. The two most important days are move in and move out. I understand that we had a major snow/ice storm five days ago, but many other businesses and facilities are cleared and functional. Rescheduling my move today has cost me nearly $1K so far, just because a parking lot wasn’t cleaned up in a timely manner. You need to do better for your customers. UPDATE: the ice and snow were mostly cleared the next day (Saturday.) It is now possible to get a moving van in/out and loaded safely. I was able to reschedule my load crew for Monday, so three days total lost…if it hadn’t been the weekend, things might have turned out even better. I’m not sure if this was a direct response to my review or not, but I’m grateful for the action taken in any case.

January 2026 made one year since I started renting a unit here. I’ve stayed because it’s convenient and close to me. But let’s talk about it. The front door is constantly open to the public without needing a code — so what exactly are we paying for in terms of security? The elevators are frequently not working. Yet somehow the rent keeps working just fine. On top of that, it is extremely difficult to find someone in the office when you actually need help. Many times there’s no one there, and when calling, no one answers. For a business that continues to raise prices, basic customer service should not be this hard to access. When I signed my lease last year, my rate was $138. A few days ago, I was charged $333. Yes, $333. I walked into the office on 2/28/26 to ask about it and was told there had already been two prior increases before this one — meaning THREE increases in one year. The explanation? “We increase every six months based on competitors.” Going from $138 to $333 in one year while security issues, maintenance problems, and lack of customer support continue is unacceptable. At this point, it feels less like a rate adjustment and more like price gouging.

I rarely write reviews, but wanted to express some concerns about the Michael Faraday storage. I have three lockers here, and have been here for over three years. At the outset, it was a well run, very clean, and newer facility that, on balance, was worth the extra price. Over the last 5 months, it has gone significantly downhill. The opening gate is broken and stays open, currently one door doesn't lock (so anyone can literally walk directly into the storage unit building itself), two elevators are broken, and three of the five main doors are broken. What's more concerning though, is that this has been the situation for over four months with no repairs being done at all. Further, inside the building, the common area floors are never cleaned or swept anymore, making even walking down the halls rather risky at various spots. The on-site bathroom is beyond disgusting, and has been like that for months. There is a significant mouse problem within the building and nothing much seems to be done about it. Meanwhile, as others have noted, the price consistently increases for anyone staying there past the introductory time period. It was one of the nicest places around when it opened. It appears though that the current management is using this just as a short-term money-maker while they let it run down. It's a sad situation. Given the recent changes, there are better storage options around.
