According to the movers I selected from Moving Help, when they first went to pick up the U-Boxes, the U-boxes were not pulled from storage or loaded onto a trailer for transport despite me having called ahead of time to schedule the pick up. It then took the location more than 2 hours to procure the box trailer and load the boxes for transport. While the Moving Help movers did arrive to the location late, this additional delay meant that I wasted the whole day waiting, could not pack any of my things that day, and I had to reschedule. The last U-Box I received was already packed with someone else's things. Even if this location was not responsible for the documentation error that lead to this box being assigned to me, it is seriously concerning that this is even a possibility. I do not know why they did not check the U-Box before loading it up and sending it out for me to use. I will note that once this was discovered, they were quick to respond and address the issue, hence the second star. The cherry on top for this move was that U-Haul failed to secure a driver to transport my U-boxes on time, ultimately leading to a 5 day delivery delay. This required last minute rescheduling of some family commitments and left me only 48 hours to unload the boxes move into my new place ahead of my first day of work instead of a week like I had originally planned. U-Haul did eventually honor their $50/day delivery delay refund promise after 3 calls with them. The one part of the experience that was pleasant was the customer service. Everyone I talked with in the process both at the Boca Chica location and over the main U-Haul help line was friendly, patient, and tried to help. The only exception was someone who worked in the carrier dispatch group separate (not at this location) who tried to convince me that the new date after the 5 day delivery delay was "guaranteed" and that I was not eligible for the delay refund after a 5 day delay from the original "guaranteed" arrival date. The whole experience was an enormous pain, and it was enough of a problem that I'm honestly considering just buying a trailer for the price of the move and packing and towing it myself instead of bothering with any pod style mover in the future. At least then I would have a trailer at the end of it all and could maybe sell it to recover some of the cost.

Horrible customer service. I called at 6:40pm to make a reservation and arrived at 6:50pm. The kids working at the time declined it because of the time, even though their scheduling department told me to be there before 7pm and I wouldn’t. Have issues. Jesus and Joseph are the kids who were working at the time who made a joke about the situation and thought raising their voice at me was a good idea. After speaking to customer service again, I was told they should’ve released the vehicle but due to the kids incompetence and laziness, I was left without a rental. I have filed a complaint and to upper management- I expect a call as soon as your location opens.

Clemente Pacheco the employee didn't rent us a uhaul mind you we call in at 10 am to rent a trailer so we can haul a truck we bought. We headed out round trip from Houston to Brownsville got there at 3:50 and he stated he didn't have any. As we were leaving we saw 3 there went back to tell him and he said he couldn't rent those out . So he sent us to all the way back to Haringen he say before we left hope you all make it bc they close at 5 and they can only take you in if you arrive at 4:30 what a waste of valuable time!!!!!!!
