I rented a storage unit from Meena at American Storage and unfortunately had a frustrating experience. When I lost my lease, I reached out multiple times to ask how many days' notice I needed to give before moving out. Despite my requests, the owner was unresponsive and did not provide the information I needed. This lack of communication left me in a difficult position. Additionally, after an accident involving a slide left outside the unit, the owner disabled our access to the gate, even though we were up to date on rent. This was not only unnecessary but also distressing, especially when I was trying to resolve the situation. It seems she expects tenants to jump up at the exact moment she needs something done, which feels unreasonable. I know tenants are expected to pay, but when asked for lease information, she also has an obligation to provide that. When I vacated the unit, I did so to avoid paying an additional month’s rent since I never received the notice information I requested. I found it particularly frustrating that I only received a copy of the lease after the owner began demanding payment, which felt disingenuous and unprofessional. It’s worth noting that she asked me to leave a positive Google review for her the day I signed the lease, but I chose to wait until I moved out to leave an accurate review based on my experience. Overall, I would caution potential renters to be aware of the communication issues with this landlord. My experience has been disappointing, and I hope future tenants have a better experience.

I rented a 10x20 unit to store my car in and was very satisfied. The unit was clean and roomy and payment was easy. I will definitely use them again in the future!
