A Family Storage

A Family Storage, at Bear Canyon and Tanque Verde in Tucson, AZ, has been a lifesaver and a delightful experience in other ways. Its security is good, its simple access and departure is good, the payment methods are flexible and our friendship with the manager over the years has been excellent. If something had happened to my family, especially my mom In recent years since she downsized, I knew that we had a place to store things and to reference them as the family needed. We had peace of mind. We also had no problems when the movers came in this past week to pack and take the things back to Pennsylvania where they started over 40 years ago. Thank you to Mia Skillman and the folks at A Family Storage. I highly recommend them.

It may be just a storage facility, however what stood out for me was the service. I was emptying a unit with my parents belongings and on a tight time frame with many questions on how to delegate which items needed to be kept, donated or tossed. Mia the site manager was EXTREMELY helpful with this problem and shaved off hours of work for me so I could keep my travel schedule. Being that I didn’t have a key to the lock she was able to assist in its removal on top of her knowledge that helped me finish my goals within an hour instead of staying in Tucson another day. She even offered to take items to Goodwill for me. Thanks again Mia!!! The unit was perfect and all my temperature sensitive items were as good as I left them. She was easy to get ahold of no matter time of day and onsite to assist me. Other storage facilities I’ve dealt with in the past were a pain when it comes to needing assistance. Almost always nobody’s present. Having someone to speak to directly was a benefit over someone on the phone or automated service. I highly recommend this facility with all your storage needs.

The manager was great but they started raising rates very quickly and they became too expensive compared to other units nearby. Also, the speed bumps in the facility were just obnoxious. I moved to another facility 1 mile away at $70 a month less for the same 10x20 unit.
