Extra Space Storage

I rented a unit online and it was so easy to reserve a unit. The pricing was excellent, with many different size options. I stopped by the office this morning and the office assistant, Khadijah was so pleasant and professional. She made me feel welcome to be a customer with Extra Space Storage. Now on to the unit. I will update after I review the space but so far, the place looks clean and safe. Great location too.

The receptionist Khadijah was very knowledgeable and very patient with me. She answered all my questions so I understood. She definitely went above and beyond. She's definitely a keeper of an employee. The office was bright and clean, and the grounds were very clean as well.

I received a call from the sister storage unit I was renting from, informing me that they had a fire. I was told that if I didn’t come and get my belongings by October 17, 2025, they would be thrown away. I had to travel from the Virgin Islands on October 13, 2025 and arrived in Chesapeake, VA at 1:00 AM on October 14, 2025, after multiple delays, feeling stressed, tired, and frustrated. The lady who contacted me about the fire was very unprofessional and showed no empathy or remorse when I was trying to explain to her where I would have to travel from. However, when I came to this new location, Tori Blake completely changed my experience. She was professional, kind, and understanding. Tori went above and beyond to help me get settled and made me feel truly valued as a customer. Her compassion and professionalism turned a very difficult situation into a positive one. I’m deeply grateful for her outstanding service and support.
