FreeUp Storage Lake Stevens

I want to say the people that work at this location are great. The review is for the company not for them. My mother had a unit here and she passed away. I was unaware of this unit. Once we discovered it took them over FOUR months to get the unit put into my name so that I could break the lock (no clue where the key was since I didn't even know there was a unit). I live in Texas, flew out to Washington to go through the unit. Took everything I wanted to keep from the unit and then asked if I had to clean it out or was it a service I could pay for. Was told for a $150 fee they would clean it out, I said okay. Attempt to cancel the the unit for two months, kept paying it because I didn't want to get sent to collections. THEN they tell me that I have to clean out the unit. That I was given incorrect information, they don't provide the service of cleaning out the unit. Told them I am in Texas and then said I would have to let the unit go to collections and then they would auction it off and I would have to pay the difference in what they got versus what was left over in fees. Didn't want to do that so instead paid a family member to go up there and clean out the unit. Sent in pictures of the clean up and was told it was cancelled. Just got a notice saying they are going to send me to collections if I don't pay!!! Called them and was told they never received my cancellation notice but they won't cancel me until I pay the two months I am behind. WHAT?!?!? This company is the worst!!!

I got a chance to meet the Manager, Stephanie today. She's very chill and friendly. I'd recommend stopping by and meeting her! There's been recent landscaping and the property is looking good.

My grandparents use this facility. They asked me to leave a review for them because they like Stephanie and her attentiveness. They said she's super helpful and the facility seems to be much cleaner and the customer service is significantly better than before she was there. Not sure if this is the place to ask, but they said I should try to get her number. Can anybody provide that for me? Shooters gotta shoot 😅
