I wanted to make an accurate testimony about I Storage in Kettering, Ohio. We moved to Kettering from Tennessee and were given a monthly rate of under 230 dollars including insurance. We were treated kindly by the front desk staff. Our rent was raised by 110 dollars in less than 12 months which is unacceptable, and we were forced to move all of our belongings to another storage facility down the street. I don't know how this place gets rave reviews when this place is so rundown and insulation is falling from the ceiling.

*update- I want to give a shoutout to Kevin and Tracy at the front desk. Even though the leaking roof was frustrating, they were super helpful and kind through the whole thing. They checked in, offered help, and made sure I had what I needed. Really appreciated how supportive and professional they were—it made a bad situation a lot easier to deal with. Paid for one of their large units and been with them for the last 2-3 months. Upon arrival to the unit, the insulation is falling off the roof and will eventually fall onto all of our belongings. The floor was littered with trash and more insulation from the ceiling, which I had to clean up prior to moving anything into the unit. There is also a drainage issue in our unit where you can tell water leaks in. You can see this very clearly by the big pile of insulation that was “glued” to the floor from moisture getting in. Ended up having to head back home to get cleaning supplies since this company doesn’t provide clean units. Also received a letter stating they are raising the rental fee. I am not sure why they are needing to raise the fee for this unit considering our belongings are sitting in a room full of moisture and failing insulation. Would not recommend if you are storing anything other than boxes/bins!

Kevin was SO helpful in the process of renting a second storage unit — he was prompt to call me and help sort things out after he noticed I had accidentally reserved multiple units when booking online! He was incredibly attentive and friendly, he ensured I had everything in order and all questions answered, and verified that I wouldn’t be overcharged for the accidental unit. I have rented a space here for over a year; the facility is well maintained, easy to navigate, secure, and I have peace of mind knowing my second storage unit will be in the same location.
