Before I post this complaint, I want to preface it with this. I rented a trailer from this facility this past Saturday 10/11/25. When I returned the trailer, I parked it like an idiot in front of another similar trailer. I got it pretty close to the other trailer and due to the fact there were no tire chocks, when I unhooked the trailer, it slid back even closer to the other trailer. When I looked at the spacing, it was fine and could still be moved. I don't know what I was thinking as there was an open spot next to another trailer in the line of trailers. I was tired and hungry and had another 2-3 hours of work ahead of me to finish the tasks of the day. I had to park a similar trailer that way at a smaller facility in Garland because of space issues just two weeks ago, but I should have known better. Now on to my complaint. As I was pulling out of the parking lot, I noticed the employee working there was flagging me down. I could see right away, by his body language, that he was angry and when I rolled down my window and he started laying into me, I realized he was angry with me. With frustration, anger and contempt, he commenced to telling me how I should never park the trailer how I parked it ever again and I should have parked it in the open spot. I immediately apologized and informed him that this morning he told me to park it anywhere in the yard or in front of the other trailers when I returned it. He immediately cut me off and told me it was common sense to park it in the open spot with a "come on man, that's common sense! Do it right next time!". I apologized again and he said, "just don't ever, ever do that again!" then walked away shaking his head. I was taken aback by how this employee just spoke to me like I was another idiot employee and not a paying customer. With my wife in the car! I also rent a storage unit here and he knows it. I've been working for a living for many decades and even managed a customer service department and tech support department for some time. The number one thing I told my employees is to NEVER talk to a customer or client with frustration, contempt, or anger. Even when they deserve it. There is always a professional and tactful way to speak to a customer explaining to them what they did wrong. If you don't, you could lose that customer forever. Now every time I go to my storage unit and see this employee, I have to deal with a certain level of animosity I have towards him. I just got this storage unit. It's perfect for me and my wife's needs. Close, clean, climate controlled and I seriously thought about just moving to another facility. The last thing I want to do is get into another confrontation with this guy. Next time I won't be so nice, and he will get the Marine Corps Sergeant in me. I've dealt with this employee a few times since getting a storage unit here and it's been a good experience, but this one confrontation has changed my perception of him. Thinking back on it I could tell he was just trying to get out of there for the day, as it was close to 4pm and he was running around trying to get ahead of the closing responsibilities. That's the only reason I'm giving him some grace. The only thing I really did was give him something else to square away before he could leave. Probably why he was angry with me. He also had plenty of opportunity to get ahead the situation by helping me unhooked the trailer or waiving me down when he saw where I was putting the trailer (He could see me!). As a matter of fact, I was surprised he didn't meet me in the yard to help me. I looked right at him when I pulled into the yard with the trailer and he just continued to do what he was doing. I could have avoided this entire confrontation by parking the trailer correctly, but it's his job to make sure inventory is put away correctly and hell, show some customer service by helping guide and unhook said inventory. I will know better next time I return something here and will insist he come help me do it.

The location, facility and staff are great here, I love the contactless system and the spaces are great. My one complaint and it’s a serious one I think, there are NO moving carts! They had ONE supermarket shopping cart for the entire facility! That was obviously totally inadequate! I mean come on, how is someone expected to load large, heavy boxes into a shopping cart!? The facility I left in another state had a dozen carts, as expected. The shopping cart fell while I was using it, TWICE, breaking a couple of glass kitchen items, not the end of the world but it made a simple process unnecessary difficult and it’s just not professional. I hope the owners/management see this and make corrective actions. This is holding you back from being a superior establishment.

We used their Uhaul trailer and had amazing customer service. Clean facility and efficient and friendly service. Will definitely use this location again in the future for our moving/hauling needs.
