KO Storage

I moved into my storage unit on January 30, 2026. I spent the entire day moving my belongings and returned the following day to finish moving in, already physically exhausted from the process. On January 31, 2026, after finally completing hours of moving, I attempted to close the storage unit door and discovered that it was jammed and would not close. At that point, I was overwhelmed, frustrated, and concerned for the safety of my belongings. I immediately contacted the customer service number provided in my email, hoping for urgent assistance. I was told that the only solution available was to move all of my belongings into a different unit. This response was extremely discouraging and unrealistic given the circumstances. I no longer had any manpower to move everything again, and I also had personal and family obligations that made it impossible for me to stay longer or leave the unit unattended. At that moment, I felt completely stuck and unsupported. Thankfully, I was able to reach the on site manager, Mike. He was responsive, understanding, and took my concerns seriously. Without hesitation, he arranged for a door technician to come out to address the issue. However, I was informed that I would need to wait several hours for the technician to arrive. I explained that I was under a significant time constraint due to family matters and could not leave my belongings unsecured. What should have been a straightforward move-in experience turned into an incredibly stressful and emotionally draining situation. I was left feeling anxious, exhausted, and worried about the safety of my property, despite having done everything correctly on my end.

Very good customer service. Process was easy. Property is well kept.

If I could give less I would. Ever since KO storage bought out Rio Storage it has been horrible. No attendant, astronomical rates in comparison to the competition, storage facility is dirty, yard in the front looks horrible. It won’t be in business long. I was at this storage unit for the past 22 years. It’s a shame KO acquired it. I would never recommend.
