Revising my review: The units are somewhat expensive for what's being offered. The door doesn't seal well to the ground, so bits of dirt, insects, and other treats get into your unit. The ceiling leaks and partially collapsed, causing my leather furniture to mold.

I had two spaces here for 10 years, one indoor for a classic car and one out for an rv. Initially, the experience was good, but a few years ago a change in ownership occurred to a corporation that is hands off. The long time manager, Nicole, then had unsupervised control. Her husband is the maintenance man, which causes issues with checks and balances. He is extremely unprofessional and temperamental. Bushes along the outside spaces are not maintained. The gate is constantly left open by staff working on or off site, sometimes, for the entire day. Once it was broken and left open for weeks, I had to phone after parts were stolen from my rv for them to fix it. Twice, the gate wouldn't open. Everyone has the same code, which hasn't been updated in years, so past renters have access to an unstaffed facility. Since the change in ownership, the office is never staffed and the phone is not answered. Messages are only sometimes returned. Indoor storage spaces have gaps under the doors, so the inside fills with dust, insects and plant debris. I had a car in mine and had to use a cover as it would be dirty from storage. The facility is on a river and flooded multiple times to the extent that 3 inches of mud filled inside units. Initially, they assisted with unit clean up of inside units. Since the ownership change they didn't, nor did they notify regarding the flooding and accessibility to the facility. I continued to use the facility despite the issues as it was very near my home. After the last flood, it took weeks for them to clear debris from my outside storage, I had to park my RV on a throughway. They had plowed surface stones into the river while removing mud and I would get muddy accessing and hitching the trailer. After weeks of asking when the space would be ready (needed about three wheelbarrows of stone which could have been moved from an adjacent island) I finally caught the maintenance man. He stood on site and said it wasn't mud but silt and would eventually wash away and that they weren't restoring the gravel as they didn't have the equipment. I left a message for Nicole asking for owner contact info, she wouldn't provide the information. She left a message stating they couldn't replace the stones until spring, but that I wouldn't want to move as it would cost twice as much elsewhere. It didn't, my new facility is secure, clean and has actual office staff who are accessible, even after hours.

Merriman Valley Self Storage was a blessing in disguise for me and my family. After being laid off recently and being forced to downgrade my living space, I needed somewhere to put my excess furniture. Merriman Valley Self Storage responded promptly and with their various selections of climate controlled storage units, I was able to find the right storage unit for me. I highly recommend their service and will be using their storage units for the the rest of my life.
