Nine Mile Road Self Storage

I have had a unit here for a year + , paid every month on time. I lost my credit card that was linked to the account for the unit, so I was late getting the payment in.... Every week that you are late, they charge you $20. I had planned to just pay for the month that I missed with the following month's bill.... until I got a notice saying that they would charge an additional $75 (default) fee on top of the $60 in late fees, bringing my bill for the month that I missed to a total of $260. I had been in contact with the "manager' the whole time, letting her know the situation, and they constantly sent me emails saying that they didn't know what was going on and hadn't heard from me. My unit costs $60 a month, ...so just know that if you miss a month, no matter how long you have been renting, you will pay 4x your renting fee, and the manager doesn't not care one bit. There is absolutely NO customer service here. If you are looking for a cheap storage unit that is tiny, and don't care about customer service, or paying increasing late fees, then go for it, but just know that if anything goes wrong and you miss a payment, they will take full advantage of the situation and continue to charge you with fees (that increase) until you make your payment....Also, after the first day you miss your payment, they put an additional lock on your unit and deny you access through the gate until it is paid.

I've had a storage unit with this location for 14 years. I had my leg amputated last year and almost lost it due to the manager changing locations. They cut the lock off and almost sold it. This year I'm ALREADY being charged a late fee. The manage has my card info and has been taking it out the 3rd of every month. This time it didn't get taken out UNTIL it was late and they sent me a threatening letter AGAIN. I WISH I had corporates number but they keep that a secret from all customers. I wouldn't suggest renting from them. They've also gone up 4 times in a year telling me they are bringing up to today's fee

The management team is so friendly. I felt like family the first day I went in and I've had my unit about 7 months so far. They are clean, spacious and very affordable.
