This was a terrible experience from start to finish. I was given a unit number but was never provided a building number. When we arrived on moving day, there was no one in the office. We attempted to contact the property manager multiple times during normal business hours with no response. My family member, the movers, and I were all calling. We also contacted customer service several times by phone and chat and received no meaningful help. After about 30 minutes of driving around the property, the movers located the unit. However, we then discovered we needed a door code to access it, a code that was never provided to me. Customer service eventually told us they could not help us with the access code. After nearly 45 minutes of delays, the property manager finally arrived. We were told that sometimes they are out on the property, but being unavailable by phone for over an hour during business hours is unacceptable. There should at least be basic communication and accessibility. The response we received was dismissive and offered no real solution. This cost me an additional hour of paid mover time due to waiting and unnecessary confusion. Moving is stressful enough without having to troubleshoot basic access issues that should never happen. To make matters worse, the entry gates are unreliable and do not function properly. I was referred here by a friend, but I regret not doing more research and choosing another storage company. There are too many options available to deal with this level of disorganization and lack of support. My moving fee was doubled because this delayed my time. I would not recommend this facility.

I rented a 5x5 unit at around 10:30am. I loaded the car up and drove to Public Storage at around 12:30pm. I find my unit, open the door, and the first thing that greets me is a big, fat, cockroach. I think at first, it’s Florida and an old building. Maybe just bad luck! And put a a couple boxes down. After that I left for Walmart to pick up some bug killer/traps just to be safe. I was gone less than an hour. When I got back, I opened the unit door and all the stuff I had put there LESS THAN AN HOUR AGO had roaches on it. Big roach, small roach, baby roach, medium sized roach. At this point I felt like they were crawling on me. I killed baby roaches off my totes, the wall, the floor, on the outside of my unit, etc. Now I’m scared that they crawled inside the totes and I’m going to take home an infestation. Taylor and the young lady she was training were very pleasant and a big help. They offered alternatives and respected my decision to go somewhere else. I got a full refund. The staff is great, but I would not recommend storing things here. Unless you just like cockroaches all over your things.
