Very easy process. I called on Friday for a move in date the next day. They provide the correct lock & key for $19.99 and they’ll also provide the insurance for your unit for $20/month. You MUST have insurance on it no matter what, so this was easiest for me as I don’t yet have home insurance set up. Once I do, I will tell my home insurance that I have a storage unit and I will pay it through them as I think it’s cheaper. They told me to make sure I let the office know asap when that is done so that they don’t continue to withdraw that fee. My 2nd month was also free. So, when I stopped by the office to find my unit, lock & key, Terri was working in the office. She was very kind and very helpful! She actually locked the front office and took me to my unit and showed me the loading/unloading dock. Had she not shown me my unit, I may have been lost in the maze for awhile, lol. The facility looked very clean and I saw that they have cameras everywhere! I feel like my things will be safe and secure there and that they will help me with any questions or concerns in the future. Much better place than the outside storage unit that I had a few years ago! It was also cheaper!! 100% recommend Public Storage- at least at the facility @ 225 N Monroe St. Olathe KS 66061.

Antjuan is a sharp, patient and comfortably calm service member that I wish I saw more often when dealing with opening an account. He is cheerful, eager to help me in opening and starting a storage unit for my spouse. I’m wishing him the prosperous future he has worked hard to secure whether that be with Public Storage or any future employer lucky enough to bear proud responsibility for this man’s wonderful service. I don’t write reviews often, when a diamond in the rough is noticed it deserves spotlight. Keep it up, Antjuan, God bless you.

I was able to downsize and move to a smaller storage unit using the website. My insurance was already on my account, so I didn't have to show new proof of insurance. Terri was very proactive and double checked everything the next morning, and made sure all was in order on my account. She was also able to credit back the next month's fee for my larger unit without me having to ask. Lastly, she helped me understand the key return process so that she could also refund my key charge on my new unit. WTG Terri! Thank you!
