Michael deserves 5 stars, but the company’s customer service policies deserve zero. I called today at 10:26 a.m. to reserve a storage unit for the 19th and asked about the $1 first-month promotion. The rep said yes, but after payment went through, she realized she made a clerical error and set the move-in date for today instead. Mistakes happen, but when she transferred me to customer service, they said they could only move it to an earlier date (which made no sense since I booked it today). I spoke with Alfred, a supervisor, who said the only option was to cancel the unit and refund me — but not the $29 admin fee, only a credit. He told me to call the Lomita location and said anyone there could help. I spoke with Michael, who was awesome and really tried to fix it, but he couldn’t apply the promo since that’s handled by corporate. I called customer service again, and this time they said the only way to get the $1 promo was to create a new account, but then my $29 credit wouldn’t apply. If I used the old account, I’d have to pay around $400 upfront for the unit. If Alfred had told me that earlier, I would’ve just kept the original reservation date instead of losing both the promotion and my time. In the end, I spent nearly two hours on the phone, got transferred between departments multiple times, repeated my story about five times, and still didn’t get a unit. I’m out $29 and my entire morning all because of poor communication and an inflexible system. Great staff at the Lomita location (especially Michael), but terrible customer service policies.

Thanks for providing more carts. If the restrooms are left open, it is easy for us to use it. It's closed all the times, and it takes a lot of time to go to the office and ask the manager on duty to unlock it
