SpareBox Storage

I reserved the unit at a facility I was familiar with. I had rented from the previous owner, All Storage. I reserved a climate controlled unit from Spare Box. The person on the phone obviously did not speak English in the home and English was obviously not her first language. When I arrived at the units, I found I had an outdoor, west facing non-climate controlled unit. Not the unit I requested and paid for. When I called to secure the unit I had previously reserved, I was given a climate controlled unit but was required to pay an additional $9.00 to access the property. When I tried to pay rent for a year in advance I was told I could not do that because rents increase every 3 to 6 months. So I am renting month to month even though I will be in storage for an unspecified amount of time. When I arrived on the property, there are no real people on-site....except there is a guy driving around in a Spare Box pickup. There are no public facilities on premises. There were with the previous owner and there is in the office area that is unmanned and closed up. I called the Spare Box number to ask to leave the truck on the premises while I ran to get lunch for my unload crew. I was told I could not leave the truck on the premises. So we closed up the truck and I drove to get lunch. Imagine, you can't leave a truck in order to go get lunch! So I'm stuck at Spare Box. Don't make the same mistake.

I've been a customer for 1yr at another spare box and I just rented another unit to store a travel trailer. Love the place
