Not enough good things to say about my experience with Stuf Storage so far. It's a very modern take on storage and it's all at your pace - you take a self-guided tour, select your unit, select your move in date, and move in. Access is app controlled, the facility is clean and tidy, and their staff is available on the phone if you have any questions. Prices are reasonable, couldn't ask for much more.

By far THE worst storage company. 1) I was to move in on the first but their employee finally got there 3 hours late on the 15th AND 2) I had to pay for the missed 2 weeks. Why I didn't comprehend but was so frustrated waiting 3 hours in a lot and said fine. 3) **Employee gives me a lock with only 1 key...ODD but I brought my own lock and used both.**No payments late, no contact by phone or text, email but I get over 300 emails per day, I honestly I don't check daily. 4) a woman in the next unit obviously uses the 24/7 access and never leaves. She kept trying to go thru my stuff. I finally didn't barely start locked up the not properly working door and haven't been back since. 5)November 17, I get a rude text telling me to get out by November 30 because I canceled my unit. News to me. I replied minutes later and said I did not cancel please reinstate and bill me for December onward. Easy peasy. Nope! 6)No response, they never answer the phone, never return calls, or text response from their text. I text them I had no intentions of moving I did not cancel my unit it's down the block from my house! I text the same on November 30 and called. Can't leave a message ever it let's you start then hangs up. 7) I go the unit on December 1st my lock was cut off, and they actually left the lock they gave on the the slide that was grossly tampered with. I have the key...duh I tried to open the door and it's beyond jammed and bent. 8) Finally they answer the phone. The woman was the rudest person on the planet. I told her about the lock, door, and what is going on. She does NOT understand what a cut off lock means in the storage world, nor the tampered now jammed slide damaged door. So how can I help you is all she kept telling me. I have inventory that i need to store, very nice, vintage, antiques. For me that's dollars out the door if damaged or even if not in my unit. I'm at a loss with this "storage facility" that can care less about their facilities, units, or customer concern. It didnt even remotely concern her that MY lock was cut off, yet theirs conveniently remained. Because they have the key!! She dismissed that like it wasnt an issue! Seriously? "What do you need mam" just absolutely no concern for what her company's basic service is. The more she kept asking me that, the more angry I got. 9) She finally said so you can't get in your unit? We'll send out the manager on Monday! Really? You want me out yet I gotta wait till Monday.... what time mam whatever time he'll come. Mam what time, you have to be there..odd they didn't call me or want me there to cut off my lock, mind you he was 3 hours late the first time. 10)We settled for 10 am. It's a great spot, in a lot, units don't match my other unit same size but these are super smaller than my other far away unit. 11)$264/month and they do not maintain, not secure, they just collect payment due, dont consider customers time and life when they need to fix a major wrong. 12)Bill the customer for 2 weeks of their not being able to open the unit being moved into. 13)Hurry up, and wait is all I got. It's the weekend I have people on deck with a truck that work Monday thru Friday and are kind enough to last minute help me on their time off. 14) What a nightmare I wasted 8 x $264 for absolutely NOTHING! I didn't even get to move my stuff because other "customers" deterred me and God forbid you can get them to answer your concerns. To me storage means just that. When you pay these high prices per month in this "safe, very well to do city" and you're just getting by and find you're safer in a homeless camp in Oakland. Even the homeless respect, protect you and your stuff out of being human, no payment needed if you can't. But this oh wow you must be rich living in Walnut Creek! No we just have to live here, stuck here and get gouged and try to live the best we hard working people can. A phone call, or reply to the damn text you sent couldve prevented a lot. But I will NEVER give a pass on what a storage BASIC service is. Safe, clean, friendly, civil and protect your stored stuff.

They will raise the price from $60 a month to $126 after just a few months. On top of that the front door has been broken for almost two months.
