⭐ 1 Star – I Do NOT Recommend Superior Storage (1711 York Avenue, Rockford, IL) I have been with Superior Storage for less than a month, and I have had nothing but problems from the start. The contract was written incorrectly, the dates were wrong, and even after repeatedly asking the manager to correct and update the agreement, it was never handled properly. My access to the facility was blocked twice even though I had paid. I was originally considering renting a second parking spot, but once the manager explained the payment system and how it does not run on a normal 30-day cycle, I clearly stated that I did not want the additional space. Despite this, they continued to send me bills for a spot I never used and had already declined. I also told them not to charge my credit card, and that I would come in to make payments in person. They continued to attempt charges anyway. On top of all this, when I went to pay for December and wrap up business with them, they blocked my vehicle in with snow—even after I had told them I need to go in and out because I use the vehicle for work. I had to shovel myself out for 30 minutes just to leave. And even after that, they still blocked my access again when I came in to make a payment. This storage facility has been nothing but a headache—errors, incorrect billing, unauthorized card attempts, blocked access, and unprofessional handling of every issue I raised. I absolutely do not recommend Superior Storage to anyone. This is a solid 1-star experience for me.

Staff is very helpful and kind, Mike is wonderful and very willing to help wherever he can. I’ve rented from the storage facility for awhile now and haven’t had any issues with staff or facility. I would recommend this facility 100%

The guy running the place is EXTREMELY RUDE and disrespectful! I called to tell him I'd be in to take my lock off and he replied angrily "no, I'll just cut it off and don't bother renting from us ever again because I could have rented it"!! I offered to pay the fee (because I was ONE DAY late) and he started cussing me! I couldn't believe it!!! I just hung up on him. Attitude goes a long way in customer service and I didn't deserve that, especially when I offered to pay the fee.
