U-Haul Moving & Storage at Holt Ave

Quick, simple. Got in without a reservation and out in about 5 or 10 minutes. BUT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Even if it says like $20 for a rental it will end up being like $99 because of miles traveled and all we did was 60 miles and brought it back to the same shop we rented it from. Customer service was direct and reasonable.

Pickup was supposed to be done independently through a lockbox, but as always, you often have to wait for staff to verify your identity, which is strange... The pickup was scheduled for early morning; the location was supposed to open at 7 a.m., but the staff was 30 minutes late. This is terrible. Keep this in mind if you have any plans; you'll definitely be late. And again, no discounts or offers, just an apology... How can this be? I encounter irresponsible and careless behavior from Uhaul employees at almost every location. Terrible. The only advantage of this location is the parking spaces;

First truck I was given was so filthy I could barely see thru the windshield. I took pics, then asked them to clean it please. Also, the odometer read “0 miles to empty” and would not give mileage until gas put in. Took pics of that too. They had to give me a new truck, equally filthy, and with 1/8 of a tank of gas. I returned it at 3/4 tank. Tried 2 locations but neither had the refrigerator truck to move my large furniture so I had to spend another $420 to hire professional movers for that. I have moved 28 times in my life. I don’t think I’ll ever use U-Haul again. I’ve never had an experience like this with a supposed “professional” business.
