My rental Van was stolen and since then the place has not answered their phones or tried to contact me directly. Yet they have closed out my rental as if I returned the van. Which fine so be it cause I'm not out 30k, but seems suspect that they closed out the rental agreement on a van that was stolen, but somehow was able to update the miles and gas on the rental to be able to charge me. Suggesting to me that they took my rental and my property inside the rental which was a 700$ electric scooter and just acting like nothing happened.

Went with a friend to pick up his son, the entire experience was absolutely terrible. From the pick up which had impossible to follow instructions, to the first stop, the vehicle wouldn’t crank back up, then when we got going again and stopped it wouldn’t come out of park. Upon calling U-Haul my friend was told that we would have to wait on a repairman to come out and check the vehicle, with an eta of 2 hours… they finally showed up 4 hours later just to confirm what we knew and by that time the U-Haul store was closed for the day and nobody could be bothered to come in after hours They said they were getting him a hotel for the night , put us in the ghetto , then didn’t even have the room paid for , which took another 2 hours. Our entire trip should’ve have taken 7-8 hours and we spent more than that waiting on u haul to do right. From the time he called U-Haul with the vehicle problem to the time he actually got into the hotel was over 8 hours! How simple of a fix would it have been for a manager to come swap vehicles? $700+ for the u haul and this is how they treat you, I had $500 dollars worth of seafood in my cooler that I hope is still edible, and I had to leave my friend in Birmingham to get it home by 4 am….. Please do not give these people your business! If you have vehicle problems, you may well end up like us .

Did the self check out and use the app, picked up the truck at another location, was fine except for the blankets I had reserved. We’re not in it. No way to change my reservation. When I dropped off U-Haul at this location, they just said we’re busy. Give us the keys. Then I got charged $100 for missing blankets that we never got to use. U-Haul is typically pretty good but stay away from the self check out , and absolutely do not just drop the keys off, it doesn’t matter how busy they are, I got ripped 100 bucks for it. Disappointing. By the way, it’s worse. Is the app will make you take pictures of the truck and obviously there are no blankets. 🤷
