My experience at Value Space Storage , 850 Hoosick Rd.,Troy. The associate , James was phenomenal. He was very thorough. He showed me the unit. He reassured me that if there were any changes that they would contact me immediately, they don't just up your rent like extra space does and that it is very clean, climate controlled and very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them to ALL!!! James was awesome! Thank you James ..CLOCK IT

We have been customers pretty much since this facility has opened. This place is perfect if you want to pay a significant fee each month to put your valued belongings in a (albeit, very clean) space, and then never be able to access them. The gate was broken again today, which we only learned after we had loaded a whole bunch of stuff into two cars to bring over. The gate is broken a lot, so maybe we shouldn't have bet on showing up outside office hours, despite the fact that a 24/7 facility kind of implies access outside of office hours. The guy who pulled in behind us, when seeing us and other customers locked out, told my husband "what exactly are we paying for? This gate is always broken." Indeed. I called customer service. The woman who answered assured me that an email had been sent to the manager. Yeah, that sounds expedient. I wouldn't have been so upset if a text message or other communication let us know, "Hey guys, the gate is broken again. So sorry! We'll let you know when it's fixed." Would have saved us a whole bunch of time loading, driving there, driving home, unloading again... But then, if they did that every time the gate was broken, they'd be sending a lot of emails. The facility is certainly secure. They just keep EVERYONE out. Problem solved.

I had a very frustrating experience with this company. I reached out to support to request an extra week to cover two months of storage fees and was reassured I would only owe $244 and had until the end of the week to pay. However, I was later billed $340 for additional fees, despite being told otherwise. This caused significant stress, especially as I am currently without a full-time job. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again.
