We moved a household requiring two 16 ft containers from Tampa, FL to Asheville, NC. Hands down our experience was excellent with Pack Rat. Not only did they give the best price, which is part of their business model, more importantly the experience and service was seamless from beginning to end. They walked us through all details of the process, they remained on schedule and even delivered our containers to the final destination a day early. The containers looked new inside and out, the drivers did a perfect job placing them where we wanted and their coordination was excellent. They called before dropping off, picking up and detailed out how they would do it while confirming how we wanted them placed on the property. I could not have been happier. Would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

We just completed a move with Pack-Rat. It was actually a hybrid move, part Pack-Rat, part old style movers. I had to move my woodworking shop and I didn't trust movers to handle my very heavy equipment. Using Pack-Rat allowed me to pack, ship, store, and unpack at my own pace and insure the safe handling of my equipment. I purchased a lot of tie-down straps and loops to secure everything. The only other thing I needed was a ramp to get things into and out of the container. Fortunately, I had something on hand, but it would have been easy to build a ramp as the floor of the container is only about 4" above the ground. Everything went extremely well. Pack-Rat dropped off the container when I was ready and picked it up a couple of days after I called them and asked to have it picked up. They then stored it for me, supposedly in an enclosed space. I then called the movers in and they took care of everything else. I then scheduled to Pack-Rat container to be delivered after the movers had delivered my household goods to my new location and unpacked. This allowed my to manage my stress. Pack-Rat was quick to deliver my container and I was able to take my time unloading it. Once unloaded, I called and they were out in a couple of days to pick it up. Everything went very smoothly. With all the strapping down I did, nothing moved withing the container and everything arrived in the same condition that it was when I packed it. I can't say the same for my furniture that was handled by the movers. So the bottom line here is, if you're moving give them a call. I'm very glad I chose to go this route.
