1st Class Moving did a great job for us. We did an interstate move from MD to SC, and they showed up on scheduled day…first thing in the morning. Had several people working, and they had the entire house plus a small moving truck with items from another house all disassembled, wrapped and loaded within 4-5 hours. I fed them all pizza before they left. They gave me a 4-day window for delivery, but had it delivered within 1 day of that window. Again…all unloaded and reassembled where needed. Highly recommend. Price was decent too. No stress on us!! Pictures are from one house to the next

We had a terrible experience with this moving company and I strongly recommend avoiding them. They charged us about $1,000 more than the agreed-upon quote, with no clear explanation for the extra charges. We also paid for a few days of storage, which was included in the original quote, yet they still added costs. During the move, they broke my office desk, damaged a leg on my kids’ dresser, and crushed several boxes — including ones clearly marked “fragile.” Items were labeled for specific rooms (Room 1, 2, 3, etc.) but ended up in the wrong places, many dumped in the basement or office instead. Despite the poor service, I still tipped $300 across three different teams (pickup and drop-off crews). Filing a damage claim was a nightmare — endless paperwork for a $400 claim, and in the end, they only paid around $170(and check comes in mail). It’s not just about the money — the service was terrible, and they aren’t cheap. We had to buy a new desk and dresser ourselves. My realtor recommended them, but I regret taking that advice. Bottom line: they are unprofessional, careless, and overpriced. There are much better movers out there — don’t make the same mistake I did. Update: Check never came!!! Worst worst worst service ever!! They suck!

Our move on September 6 from VA to MD went off without a hitch! It was stress free and efficient! We couldn’t have asked for a better crew! Franci and her team were ON TIME and worked seamlessly to get the furniture wrapped and loaded in the proper order for drop off (4 interim stops). The final destination was reached and unloaded before dark, making every recipient very happy. I’m a repeat client of 1st Class Movers, and will remain so! You can be assured of complete satisfaction when you deal with this company. Certainly 5 stars + 5 stars. THANK YOU so very much, 1st Class Movers.
