Used to be reasonable priced. Under new ownership and they are raising prices. I can get a climate-controlled storage space for the prices they are charging now. This used to be a hidden gem that I sent family and friends to. Now it appears nothing sets them apart from the hundreds of other storage facilities in town. I will be seeking other storage needs. Very disappointed.

I've been renting for about a year now. Before I signed the contract I told manager I couldn't pay rent till the 3rd of every month, she agreed. One time I was late and I paid it the following day because of some serious medical issues had a rose it I just threw me off. New Year's 2026, I got paid early so, I paid the rent on the 2nd. I called in as usual with payment, bc she refuses to set me up on auto pay, due to the date scheduled for payment. I call in, leave the usual message asking to charge the card on file, ending in xxxx. This particular morning, 1-2-26, I received a late notice at 8:09 a.m. I called in and made a payment at 10:57 a.m... I was busy that morning prepping for a long trip to St. Louis for a specialized surgeon. The very last number I gave her was wrong. But in the voicemail I said to charge the card on file. I always assume that she will be able to complete the transaction since she has the full account number. She said she tried to call the number on file, but got no answer. Though a little confused, I asked her why she didn't email me again. Silence. Followed by, " I called the number on file several times and left a message." Turns out she had the wrong number! But still did not send an email Telling me the rent was not paid.. in my business if I could not get a hold of a client, I sent them an email, just like everybody else I know. After going thru all that, I was still charged late fees. You would think she would send an email stating the number I gave her was incorrect to say the least. We had gone through this before. It must be a new tactic to allow someone to go through this and run late just so they can be charged the fees. she did put me in a bind, living on Social security! Traveling 600 mi on a regular basis isn't cheap. The late fee, was gas money going up there to St Louis. If you're a Senior I would definitely think twice before renting at Battlefield storage.

When I verbally informed the owner that I would be completing the use of my storage unit rental, she informed me to provide a 30 day notice in writing, which I did on the 9th of the month. Upon calling to pay my prorated amount, she then informed me that I would need to pay the full month, and can remain in the unit the full month. I feel that she should have stated that when she verbally told me to provide a written notice, and should be more clear. She prorated upon moving in unit but not moving out, so a 30 day notice isn't what you're technically giving if you're paying the full month.
