CubeSmart Self Storage

Used CubeSmart for a very short term rental. The staff was friendly, responsive and accomodating when I had to shift my start date a little bit later than I had expected. The lot access is not 24 hours, which is fine - but something to be aware of if you need that sort of availability. The cost was very reasonable. Access to many of the units is from small walkways that don't allow for any sort of vehicle parking. If you have a lot of stuff to move in and out, or will be doing so frequently, make sure to request a unit that is on the end of an aisle. One surprise item that I either missed or was not informed of until booking the rental is that CubeSmart requires you to purchase rental insurance through them, even if you have some sort of coverage from your homeowners/rental insurance. You cannot decline this. It's not a small, incidental cost. Another consideration is that all of these storage units are on the ground level and have no climate control. They're a bit damp - at least in the summer - and not at all resistant to small critters. Depending upon what you're storing, this may or may not be important to you. With the caveats about access times, required rental insurance and the units being all ground level with the issues that can result in, this is an OK place for the cost.

This place plowed their snow clearing sidewalks for pedestrians very promptly so I have respect for them and assume they are just as courteous and respectful of customers— Even though I am not one. Thanks for being a good neighbor
