Absolutely horrible customer service. I have used Eastland Storage in the past and was very pleased with them so I was going to use their units again. I rented a unit online December 27th and when I went to the facility with a load of boxes to put in the unit the gate was broken. I called the number provided and was placed with a call center. The gal I spoke to told me that there’s nothing gate was broken and they had a team that was fixing it. There was no way to manually open the gate so I could access my unit and so we had to turn around and unload the truck. We waited the whole weekend before attempting to enter the facility again, the gate was still broken. I called again and spoke with the call center. I explained that I needed to access the unit that day and if I couldn’t I would need to go to another facility. I asked for a refund for the unit because I was physically unable to access it. The gal understood, said that she would escalate the situation to the manager on site and to keep my lines open so that the manager could contact me. I’m still waiting on someone to contact me. January 12th, I received an email finally! You’d think that would be a great thing but it was my bill… for a unit I cancelled and have never been to. I called for a third time and spoke to the call center again. They stated that they can see my other calls and that the situation was still flagged as escalated from my second call. They removed my card on file so that it won’t auto pull a payment but there’s no guarantee that this won’t potentially reflect as a negligent payment on my credit. I asked again for a refund and for my unit to be cancelled. I explained the situation again and they told me that the only thing that they are able to do is to send another notice to the manager on site and to just wait for them to reach out. It’s now January 15th and still no response. I cannot in good faith recommend this storage facility. They lack proper communication, they seem to not take issues seriously and will just keep ignoring all attempts to contact ownership.

The man that helped me was absolutely a blessing. I had rented from a different company and then they decided that they weren’t going to be at the office when I got there to unload all of my stuff. So I called Eastland storage and they immediately were able to rent to me and get me in there all remotely and help me problem solve everything. Absolutely thankful for them!

I’ve been a loyal customer of this facility for years, but ever since the new ownership took over, it’s been an absolute nightmare. My biggest concern is that I literally can’t even pay my bill. I called to make a payment and had to explain what a check was—like I was teaching a toddler. . My payment was refused, they’ve continued adding fees, and the person I spoke with kept interrupting me the entire time. I was told “no one works at the facility,” yet somehow, there’s someone living behind the office? Then, in the same breath, they said they’d “send a ticket to the property manager.” Which is it? The misinformation and attitude I received were completely unprofessional—especially when the representative decided to hang up on me. To make things worse, last month they locked me out two days AFTER I paid my bill, and it happened on a SATURDAY. I reached out multiple times and never got a single response. I’m beyond disappointed and honestly enraged by how this place is being run now. The new ownership is an absolute joke, and the lack of customer service is unacceptable. I expect someone FROM THE FACILITY to respond to my MANY attempts to reach out and accept my payment. If they refuse to take my money and continue to keep my unit locked, I will get a court order to remove my belongings myself and the company can shove it. I have the documentation and will proceed if this is not fixed. 11/12/25 Reply: Correction — I’m the one who reached out on Monday. My phone records clearly show that nobody from your facility contacted me. Thank you for once again not listening to a word I said. I called customer service again and my payment was finally approved. You cannot refuse legal payment and still claim a lien — you might want to review your own policies/the law before lecturing me about them. Want the documentation? I put in yet ANOTHER ticket to receive a call from someone on property. I’d like to confirm my payment was received and I’d like to understand why I was locked out of my unit two days AFTER I paid last month…. I’ve been waiting for a call back regarding this since 10/11/25. At this point, the lack of accountability and follow-through is beyond frustrating.
