Had such a great experience! Walked into the lobby since it was my first time utilizing a storage unit. A gentleman was there to assist me. He walked me to my unit, showed me how to use the lock, the layout of the building and best how to access my unit. Very convenient and easy to access. As a young women I feel comfortable accessing this unit on my own. Definitely recommend

I had a great experience with Extra Storage in Tallahassee. Michael was always nice, responsive, and easy to work with. The storage unit was convenient and made the sign in process stress‑free. My only issue is that the prices continue to inflate every6 or 6 months, which can be frustrating. Overall, good experience.

The advertised rate is not the real rate. It’s temporary. If you rent here, understand that you’ll be negotiating your bill every year just to keep it from spiraling. The Facts: I signed up in March 2024 for a 10x10 unit at $77/month. July 2024 (4 months later): my rate increased to $145/month — nearly double. I had to call to get it adjusted down to $110. May 2025: rate increased again, this time to $184/month. I had to call again, and they adjusted it down to $111, claiming that they "appreciated my loyalty." February 2026: another increase — now $191/month. I called again, and this time “the best they could do” was $153/month. Let’s recap: • Original rate: $77/mo (March 2024) • First increase: $111/mo (March 2025) • Current adjusted rate: $153/mo (Feb 2026) • That’s more than double in less than two years. • And every single time, I had to call and negotiate just to avoid an EVEN HIGHER increase. To make it worse, I look at the website, and they're offering a 10x10 for $96/mo. That's a $60/mo difference. That's $720/yr more than a brand-new customer would pay. This is clearly a pattern: offer a low introductory rate, then aggressively raise prices and rely on the fact that moving out of a storage unit is inconvenient and costly. Each time I call and ask why my rate keeps increasing, I'm told it’s because of “demand.” That explanation doesn’t hold up. If demand truly justified the pricing, then new customers would be paying the highest rates — not $96/month while long-term customers are charged $156 or even $191 for the exact same 10x10 unit in the same building. That’s not demand-based pricing. That’s loyalty penalty pricing. “Demand” is being used as a blanket justification for raising rates on existing tenants while advertising lower prices to attract new ones. Telling me over the phone that it's the "industry standard" doesn't do me much good. Minus 1-star for each of the three rate increases I've received in less than 2 years.
