I have been to three facilities that say they are “24-hour access” and it is just not true. But modstorage actually is, no gimmicks and no extra costs ! There price is also solid. I always see cool new features and tech being added. The touch locks also let me sleep stress free knowing nobody is going to break in :). They also have a lot of moving material and U-Haul trucks. It’s overall a great local self storage that aren’t a greedy corporate money pig unlike the other big guys ( who would rent wise me like crazy !).

I had such a good experience and I was so grateful for Taquan’s help. He was so calm, patient and understanding when my family was running behind schedule. He was able to answer all my questions and assured me everything would be okay with my U-Haul rental. I appreciated his customer service so much.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE HERE.. YOUR STUFF WILL GET DIRTY WHILE THERE, YOUR STUFF WILL GET STOLEN BY STAFF BECAUSE THEY CAN EASY OPEN YOUR UNIT.. DONT BELIEVE ME? GO TO THE LOCAL 108th PRECINCT AND SEE HOW MANY THEFT CLAIMS ARE THERE FOR THIS STORAGE FACILITY. PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ROBBED FOR THOUSANDS WORTH OF THEIR VALUABLES.. THE PERSON IN CHARGE (JERRY) IS A DIRTY BUSINESS MAN AND HAS NO SCRUPLES AND ITS THE HEAD OF ALL THE THEFTS THAT HAVE HAPPENED. I HAVE VIDEO FOOTAGE OF HIM ACTING OUTRAGEOUS WITH A CUSTOMER JUST BECAUSE THEY WANTED THEIR STOLEN STUFF BACK, CLAIMING ITS GONE BECAUSE OF 1 LATE PAYMENT. VERY VERY BAD STORAGE DO NOT STORE YOUR STUFF HERE..THEY ARE OUT TO GET PEOPLE FOR THEIR VALUABLES..BEFORE RENTING HERE GO TO THE 108th PRECINCT AND THEY WILL TELL YOU THE MOMENT YOU WALK IN THE DOOR.. MY STUDF WAS RAN THROUGH THOROUGHLY INTO ALL MY PRIVATE THINGS AND THEY DID NOTHING ABOUT IT.. CLAIMING AND ADMITTING THAT THERE WAS A THIEVE AMONG THE STAFF..MIND YOU THE LOCKS ARE ELECTRONIC SO ONLY YOUR PHONE AND THEIR SYSTEM CAN OPEN IT..

This is one of those companies with zero actual humans. No one answers the phone or monitors emails even when a customer of years alerts them about rats and construction that left poop and concrete dust all over my property. Someone needs to get back to me and this is the only option I have now.

There’s Public Storage, and then there’s personal storage—and that difference is exactly what sets modSTORAGE apart. I’ve rented at this particular location for several years and it was recently taken over by modSTORAGE. Since then, the improvements have been substantial: the facility is newly renovated with brand-new elevators, offers true 24/7 access, and the units themselves are now fully digital—no padlocks, no keys, no combinations to remember. One particularly thoughtful feature is the ability to open the main garage bay doors directly from your car so you can drive inside, making loading and unloading easy regardless of the weather. As strong as the upgrades and technology are, they’re not what ultimately set modSTORAGE apart. The real difference is the personal involvement of the new owner, Jared. You’ll often see him walking around the facility making various improvements, and always with a smile. He’s quick to say hello and chances are he’ll even remember your name. He’ll also always tell you if there’s ever an issue, he wants to know about it. I experienced that help firsthand. I currently rent two large units (a 10×18 and a 10×15), which I’ve had for several years. As part of a promotion and loyalty incentive, I was given an excellent rate for a guaranteed term. When that term ended, my rate increased by nearly $160 per month—almost $2,000 per year. Needless to say I was not happy. Remembering what Jared said about reaching out, I decided to take him up on that and asked if anything could be done. He informed me while rates were set by corporate, give him time and he’d see what he could do. Sure enough, less than 24 hours later, he called back and said “I was able to get them to reduce your rate by almost $100 a month and that should be good for the next four to six months.” That level of advocacy and follow-through is rare in any industry, let alone public storage. It demonstrated integrity and a genuine commitment to customers that makes me happy to remain a modSTORAGE customer to this day. Thanks, Jared!
