Manhattan Mini Storage

I was very comfortable with extra space storage. This company comes in, takes control and forces people to pay all units collectively together even when you had a contract that has you pay after the 1st. They do not separated payments, allowing you to pay for specific units all at 1 time. If I was anyone I would avoid storing with this company. It is not worth the headaches. If you are looking to have more than 1 unit you will be charged a late fee for both, from my understanding, you are not allowed to pay for the units separately. you do not have an option to do so. So you will be forced to accumulate a late fee for both even if you have money to at least pay for one on time. Very poor management for customers. This rubbed me the wrong way. It’s not a company I would ever choose to store with but because I have multiple units, prior to them taking over, I’m pretty much out of luck. I am actively looking to remove all of my stuff as we speak. Unless there is some change in payment processing I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

I experienced unexpected charges on my account and when I addressed it with the manager, Chris, I felt dismissed rather than helped. Clear communication and accountability are important, especially when it comes to customers’ money. This experience was disappointing and stressful.

Accused me of dumping my garbage in front of the construction site next door and said they captured it on camera which was a bold faced lie. I asked to see the video because they were full of it but of course they couldn’t produce. They should probably have better waste management policies in place because when I asked if they had a bin for garbage they said it would be $50…I had two grocery bags of garbage no I’m not going to pay that much. I feel like they were just trying to get any money out of me they could…so glad I moved out.
