First of all, I wouldn’t typically post something like this, but initially when I rented a storage unit from them (then Blue Sky) I was told that the monthly rent would not go up and if it did, it would be quite some time in the future. Well, within just a few months my unit went from $189?? to I believe it was $215 then again in a few months to $237 after the new owners (Frontier) took over. My girlfriend rented the same size unit as mine right next to my unit. She was paying a different price than me. Makes no sense. A couple weeks ago, her monthly rent went up from $220 to $275!!! I went up to the office and inquired why? I was told “well that’s odd…hers went up more than anyone else’s did. Looks like we randomly selected units that were going to have a price increase, and hers was the highest amount”. Randomly selected??? So they can just pick unfortunate people and raise their rent?? This is what I was told! I argued this and stated that the new owners are going to price themselves out of business! I was also told that there is a camera in the front office and the corporate office can hear people’s conversations. I hope they heard my frustration! My rent will probably go UP again because of it. After I argued this increase in my girlfriend’s rent, I guess the corporate office or somebody, finally lowered her rent to $245. Still too high. Lastly, we pay for “climate controlled storage units”. So they should be cool in the summer and warm in the winter, right? So your valuables don’t ruin. Well, I’ve been back to our units twice in the last 2-3 weeks and it is HOT AS HELL in the “climate controlled” building!!! I again went to the office and asked why. I was told “yeah, around the end of August that building’s air conditioner had problems. We called Freyaldenhoven’s and they haven’t come to fix it”. What?? Call them again!!! People are paying for climate controlled units and it’s burning up in there. I took a picture of the “locked” thermostats” on different days about 2 weeks apart. Look at the temperature in the “climate controlled “ building. You think corporate will offer renters a discount because of the inconvenience? I highly doubt it. As soon as I can, I’m moving my stored belongings to a place where we won’t be robbed every month. They want to say the increase is because of maintenance costs. BS. doesn’t appear they care about maintaining the temperature. Don’t rent from these greedy owners.

The front desk was very helpful in finding us the best unit that fit our needs. I highly recommend New Frontier Storage in Conway.

This is a very nice, well maintained storage facility. I leased a 10x10 for a couple of years. WARNING: my rates were raised significantly, multiple times resulting in me moving out. I was paying more than a space in northern Illinois and everything costs more here. WARNING 2: move out on the last possible day of your paid month. They don't prorate even with 10 plus days notice. That's my biggest complaint. Staff is pleasant and generally responsive. I'd recommend Blue Sky, just be sure you are ok with the rate hikes and no prorate. I don't even remember if I paid a deposit with the original company before Blue Sky.
