Public Storage

Awful experience! This is our first time renting a storage unit. We were in a rush and since this was closest to home, and it has 4.7 STARS !!!!! We rented a small one outside for wha we planned a month or two. Let me start by saying that I spoke to a Francisco that called me to make sure I was moving in yesterday and I told him that something came up and i was going to move in Monday (today). He said perfect (he was very nice btw), and that he’d be expecting us. My husband went in today and there was no one in the office, he waited over 30 minutes and nothing. He checked online and did his own new reservation and was given a code to the gate that was not working. We had to call costumer service to get access because no one from the facility answered or called back. Straight to voicemail (we left one). My husband went to the unit, and when he opened the wall was completely broken and we could see all of the neighbors belonging ! such a big hole that we could walk in the next unit with no issue (i feel bad for them to have all their belongings exposed like that) ours was unit G032. (If you’re on 33 or 34 I hope you see this!) We took pictures and emailed them to an email given to us by costumer service and were provided another unit (mind you outside in the heat with a van full of things and we had to pick our son in from school in two hours). When my husband gets to the second unit; this one has the walls in terrible state. Peeling off, stinks like mold. You can even see the mold on the walls. At this point husband has no option but to leave out belongings there to be able to put the babys car seat and pick him up from School. Just the thought of the smell out bringing will have makes me want to cry !!!! How are they not maintaining their units ? How is it that it can get to this point! To the point of not even checking your units. I feel disgusted!🤢

Very clean and neat. The people that work in the office can never be found or never in there. When you leave messages they call back I guess when they feel like it. By then I forget what I called for. They need to do better by being in the office.
