Public Storage

The payment system is a joke. I've been here a month and not much is working well. I'm signed up for autopay but somehow I have a balance on my account and was charged a late fee of $20 and was text threatened that my unit would go up for auction soon. One month...jfc Updated review. I have been with Public Storage for a little over two weeks and the main gate has not been operational at any point during that time. The first time I asked about it, I was told a large truck was coming in and out regularly that day. Fine. A week passes and the gate is still wide open every hour of the day. I stopped again and asked if this was normal. This time I was told the gate is not functional and that a work request had been submitted. Another week goes by and nothing has been fixed. I called customer support and they said they would escalate the issue. All that really means is that they notify the location that a customer is complaining. I did receive a return call, but it was filled with excuses. I was told the property is secure because it has cameras. I pushed back because cameras do not stop anything from happening. Cameras are reactive, not protective. I do not know what is going on, but I expected more from this relationship. I understand that repair timelines are not always ideal, but they should at least be transparent about the situation instead of trying to convince me of weak explanations. Original Review Smooth transaction with Rick. He provided a lot more customer service for a simple storage unit than I would have ever expected. The service industry could take some tips from these guys.

Rick at the front counter was awesome. I arrived slightly after 5:00 and he was more than happy to help me, very kind and funny. He helped me switch my unit and I got what I needed, while in a serious time crunch. Thank you, Rick! Give this man a raise.

Rick was fabulous to work with! He was so helpful and made the registration process easy answering all our questions and even showing us the unit we were interested in renting!
