SecurCare Self Storage

I had an excellent experience at SecurCare Self Storage in Encinitas. I needed short-term storage, and their first-month-free special was perfect. Ursula, who helped me, was outstanding—super helpful, incredibly positive, and thorough. She showed me multiple units and made sure I found the perfect fit. One notable complaint is the keypad placement—it’s on the passenger side, so you have to exit the vehicle to enter the code. This is a bit inconvenient and not well thought out from the standpoint of the customer and I hope they consider improving it. this is why i remove a star. But aside from that, the facility and staff—especially Ursula—were fantastic!

Tim and Scarlet have been incredibly helpful. Very appreciative of their friendly demeanor and support. Just met Tim and he was great. Scarlet has helped me many times over the years. Be clear, though, that the high ratings you see probably come from the prior ownership, which was much less corporate and more personable. I’m a long time renter, in multiple units. Yet the new company raises the rent every few months. My rent is more than double what it was when I first moved in three years ago. They also seem to have no perks or respect for long time renters. Strangely, also, now they do no offer ANY prorate options for moving out after the end of the month. Wow. What a racket. Sorry to say it after years of great service, but I am looking for the right place to relocate my things! Hopefully the company will realize they are alienating loyal customers and do something to honor the relationship.

This place was good before the new ownership. Now they raise the rent every couple of months. We are paying double the price after one year. Don’t take the low price bait and switch.
