Security Public Storage

Security Public Storage is “the place” for any storage needs. Very clean, safe and management are easy to work with. Onsite Manager Ayanna is very nice and accommodating. She did an extra mile effort to ensure that I’m getting the unit I want. Special mention to one of their managers, Steve for accommodating my special request. I will definitely choose SPS over any storage place.

Summary before rant! Regular rent increases Ridiculously small doors for a storage facility Parking lot is sloped, creating the potential for runaway carts Incompetent staff I've rented a storage space at this facility for several years. Just moved to another storage facility in Burlingame, and it was a best move I've ever made. At "Security Public Storage" Daly City, You can set your calendar by the rent increases, always accompanied with a note that says how you're a valued customer. Your payment is valued....you, are not! Many of the doors in the facility are 3-0 X 6-8 doors. These are the same size as the doors in your house, designed to accommodate people, not carts! When you exit the doors to the parking lot with a cart, it's sloped down hill. If you're not very strong, or have a heavy cart, it will run away from you. After having been there several years, I noticed there we're no longer signs posted saying that the parking lot gate locked at 7:00 PM. I assumed the policy had changed, so one night I stayed to 7:45, and sure enough, I couldn't get my truck out of the parking lot. I had full access to the facility, could walk in and out of the back and front doors at will. I could have let anybody in off the street! I could have spent the night there if I wanted to. Nothing very "SECURE" about that! However, I couldn't get my truck out of the parking lot. I called the answering service, and they were able to open the gate remotely to allow me to get the truck out. I came in the next day and talked to the guy in the office. I said: You've got signs regarding the holidays, warning about not returning carts to the proper location, keeping doors closed, and informing us that we're on security cameras. Why can't you put a couple of signs up telling people that their vehicle will be locked in after 7:00? His reply was: "It's clearly stated in your contract" (that I probably signed 6 years before!). He would not give me the cont ct information for his supervisor, but finally said that he would pass my request onto his boss "but it will probably fall on deaf ears.". I could go on, but in summary... it's a badly designed facility, run badly! I could kick myself for staying as long as I did! I have no idea how this place gets four and a half stars! It gets one from me!

Just started their services end of Dec 2025. So far so good. Place is clean. Lots of parking. Helpful and friendly staff. Easy to register, affordable rates.
