SmartStop Self Storage

I have never had issues at a storage place like i have had here. I rented my unit during a special, they walked me to my unit i put the lock on that i bought from them and come to find out they gave me the wrong unit number. Seemed like no big deal. Talked to them they said they made the mistake changed the unit number in the system it was fixed. Following month i get charged over double my original agreed payment. Apparently when they fixed the mistake they made it was after the special was over so i was charged the going rate for that unit. They are hardly in the office when they are scheduled to be, they have been rude and every time they i talk to someone they say they will call me back and never not once have followed back up. They couldn’t reimburse me unless i cancelled the contract and moved my items out but said they would credit me. I wake up this morning to another charge i had to call the bank. Like i said ive never had so much trouble. I agree on a unit and price, pay my payment its simple. Because they made a mistake im getting the run around and being overcharged.

Arianna was great!!! ⚠️ EDIT as of January 29 - while this was intended to be a very short arrangement, I recently noticed that my rent has increased from $41 to $48 and most recently to $147 without notice. When contacting the office, I was informed that a letter was mailed (not received) and they "may" be able to discount next month's rent. There will be no next month, as trust has been compromised. Use with caution

I’m very disappointed in this facility. I rented a unit here 10 years ago and they have continually gone up on rates. I’ve always paid on time and have made several attempts to contact them. They say they will look into it and get back to me and they never respond. They are now charging me 340.00 a month for a unit that rents for 75.00 a month and isn’t climate controlled.
