SmartStop Self Storage

Rented a space online, took (3) days to physically meet someone in the office to sign paperwork and get assigned a unit causing us to be a day behind on plans. Nobody would answer the phone or be in the office the 6 times we went! We arrived to unload our items and when we opened the unit it was disgusting! Floors not swept and you could see little bugs all over. The unit stunk like mold and mildew as you can see the walls were disgusting. We immediately called and nobody was in the office once again. Called the number listed on the door and was told someone should be there. They offered to clean the unit but would take a couple of days. We asked for a refund and left! It’s been 2.5 months since the ordeal. Everytime we call we are told they are working on it. They have a new manager and can’t do anything until she releases funds. I’ve asked for her contact and they refuse to give it. I’ve left our number and still no call or refund. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! Spoke with TJ and Grayson.

Stalkers I went online to look at storage options and reserved 3 at different facilities. No contracts, simple inquirement reservation. This facility has called, emailed and texted non stop every day since. Not once or twice. All day every day. I needed a unit and acquired one and have been busy with that situation. I was going to grab a second unit as a backup if more room was needed and was going to rent from this place. Absolutely not, they do not understand personal boundaries even the slightest. The amount of contacts made is disturbing. I can only imagine what they are like in person or if you fell behind on a payment or something similar. Don't believe me. Reserve a unit online and watch the emails/calls/texts start within 5 minutes of placing said reservation.

I had a great experience here. I was browsing the web looking for the best deal on a storage. After calling around and checking what the total out the door fees were these guys won out. I had trouble finishing the app online and T.J. called me the following day to check in. I really appreciated his customer service, even though I filled the app out in store they honored their online deal. I also like the ability to pay cash and not requiring to have a credit card on file. T.J. and Grayson made nice small talk while I finished up securing my unit. Very comfortable storing my items here.

Before we go any further i would like to share you guys my experience with SmartStop Self Storage . He was really nice and helpful patients, he makes it easy for us to get a unit done really fast and simple. I recommend this to the public to the community whoever needs help to get their things safe or secure, this is the place. come see TJ. and the team. You don't have to go anywhere to secure your stuff. *2nd update*: our unit has been broken into not once, but twice within a week (6 days) things can be replaced, but not the guise of security. I had called the police, and after they got info from the manager, they let me know the gate had been BROKEN for 2 weeks. TJ told us they JUST hired security after this second break in. Should be held liable for their negligence in not providing proper security for the property. What happened to DUTY OF CARE? Why was there not a security guard if the gate and security were already compromised? Or full coverage CCTV instead of just one little camera at the beginning of every aisle. It's almost like they don't care about their patrons belongings. Not to mention there was garbage and broken locks EVERYWHERE. *UPDATE*: They have since raised our rent 45% not even 6 months later - thought we got lucky to find an honest storage unit facility, but I guess not.. Upon our move in they were so nice and accommodating. The website made everything super easy. I thought I dropped my keys somewhere during our tour and they didn't think twice to help me look for them.
