Storage Sense - Apopka

I was a customer for almost 5 years and never had anything but excellent service. Facilities were always clean, safe and well maintained. Staff was always friendly, willing and able to help and communications were always good. I would absolutely use Storage sense again if I need temporary storage in the area.

Extremely Disappointed with Management, facilities, customer service and treatment towards Veterans! I am reporting this on behalf of my mother and father who has been experiencing difficulties with the management and staff of this facility. Please see my mothers complaint below: My name is Angelia, and my husband and I have been loyal customers of your Apopka, Florida storage facility since its opening. We have continuously rented a unit at this location and, as a military family, have always received a military discount as part of our agreement. Since the change in ownership, we were informed that we would need to call each month to have the discount manually applied. We have complied with this request without issue—until now. On my most recent call, I spoke with Cheryl Martinez, the store manager, who informed me that my total was $192.61. I advised her that I normally pay $178.00 with the military discount applied. She claimed that this discrepancy was due to a previous error by an employee named Patrick, who supposedly applied two discounts in one month. I explained that we have been paying $178.00 consistently since the rate increased in February, but she insisted the discount had been incorrectly applied. Rather than resolving the issue professionally, Ms. Martinez told me we were welcome to move our belongings out if we were not satisfied. I was shocked by her tone and dismissive attitude, particularly after explaining that we have been with this facility longer than she has been employed there. I then requested the corporate office contact information, as I believe her conduct was inappropriate and disrespectful. Additionally, Ms. Martinez stated that military discounts are only available to active duty service members. My husband served this country honorably for 24 years. To suggest that his service is not worthy of recognition is offensive and unprofessional. Beyond this incident, the facility itself has had ongoing issues. The building is often unclean, the elevator frequently malfunctions, and we have had problems with rodents in our unit. Despite these issues, we remained loyal customers. However, being treated with such disregard may force us to reconsider. I am requesting a formal review of this incident, a reassessment of our eligibility for the military discount, and a response regarding how your company intends to address these service and facility concerns.

If you are planning to store stuff long term don't look at doing it here. They consistently raise they're rates due to "rising operating costs" and you'll also constantly get emails about the gate being broken. As for the place it is well kept and clean for the most part but they kept raising my rates every few months for an outside 10×10 unit to well over $220 a month.
