The employees at U.S. Storage on Alameda and Vernon have truly been lifesavers, and I have to say Anna has been the top miracle worker for me—going above and beyond every time. Rudy has also been a key highlight in assisting me. They’ve worked some real magic—letting me use tape, equipment for my vehicle, and cleaning supplies, all free of charge. I can’t say every storage facility offers this—because I’ve never seen it elsewhere. Their courtesy has been exceptional. The one thing I’d recommend in return is not to stay past 4:45 or 5:00 p.m. when they close—because they’ve got lives and families too.

My experience was Par Excellent. My Host was Mr. Christopher in Alameda. He was Knowledgeable, the Best customer service rep.,kind, friendly & to add he demonstrates the ability to hear me the customer & direct me to the most perfectly sized unit. That I really appreciate because I was not familiar with how to store my items in order to get maximum use of the unit space. So here’s a BIG, Thank You Christopher, US you have a great Team member Blessings Minister Bea

My experience with Alameda U.S. Storage Center was horrible. I was originally signed up by an inexperienced site manager, who signed me up under a 3-month promo that she couldn't get their computers to honor. So I would get emails claiming I owed more than I did. Then, when I thought we had everything resolved, this employee quit. Then I got an email claiming my account was cancelled and I needed to sign a new contract. I was previously signed up on a 3-month promo, but the site owner / manager cancelled my contract, and claimed he wasn't sure what happened, but then attempted to sign me up without the 3-month promo. I had to request he try to find the canceled contract in the computer's files, in order to prove I had the promo. So, he pretended to be surprised he could do that, BUT HE WAS THE SITE OWNER / MANAGER! So after signing up, their system goes down, and I cannot complete my contract for another week. Also, they have this weird mandatory charitable contribution you have to give EVERY MONTH, in order to receive the promo. That screams fraud, but it was inexpensive and down the street from my home, so I paid it. Then, after all of that, I return to finalize my contract, and there is a new employee. She is great, understands the system, finishes off my contract, and all is well. So I thought. After 3 three month promo period, I received one month at what was supposed to be my standard rate, then I received a letter in the mail telling me they were raising my rent by 75%!!!! I couldn't believe it, so I call them to correct what I thought was an error, and they tell me, I was mistaken. They said that the standard rate I received after the promo rate was also a promotional rate, and the 75% increase was a standard rate set by an A.I. program that no one has control over. They literally told me I just got a bit of bad luck, because the pricing was out of their hands, and it cannot be changed. I feel like all of these positive reviews are fake, because when I was moving out, others were moving out for the same reason, and upon moving out they had 2 new employees, and one told me that people were leaving because of the bad management. They are running their business unethically, using promos to lure people in, they wait 4 months for them to feel settled, then they send a letter in the mail informing them of a 75% increase, hoping they don't receive it, and don't notice the increase. What other reason would they communicate via email and phone, but only send me a physical letter via U.S. postal service when they are raising my rent? Other than that, their facilities are in bad shape, there are units left open full of trash from old tenants, their a many units with broken doors, and their facilities have an ant infestation. I assumed their prices were low because of the poor shape of the facility, but when they raised my rent by 75%, the whole operation felt like a scam. If they were bold enough to raise my rent that much after 4 months with their facility in that condition, how could I trust they wouldn't do it again in the same year?
