A Storage Place

Do yourself a favor and do not rent here. There are many, many other options that will offer not only more logical access hours, but actual customer service (I went with Storage Outlet in Pomona - WAY better). To start, I was well-aware of the hours listed and fully read the contract given to me upon signing. The last clause reads, "no late exit after 6pm - late exits after 6pm will result in a $50 charge". No problem. I was moving from Northern CA and called ahead of time b/c I would be there by 6pm, but probably wouldn't be out by 6pm - but I was fine paying the late exit fee. The rep, Samara told me that there is NO way to exit and that I'd have to pay $600 to have the FIRE DEPARTMENT open the gate. Wow. She then connects me with her godawful manager, "CJ", who is even more hostile, unprofessional and not one bit apologetic about the situation. She says, "sorry, Samara explained this to you when you signed the contract", which is absolutely untrue. CJ, you sound like a miserable person and you truly have no business working in a customer-facing position, let alone one of leadership. Further, this place also makes you pay a full 30-days rent upon lease signing when other facilities will pro-rate the month. Their Auschwitz-level enforcement of a ridiculous 6pm lock-in policy is absolutely absurd, and their joke of a manager could not care less. Stay away.

This location has been good to us for quite a number of years. However, past managers Carlos as well as Bob & Jere were far more committed, helpful, and understanding managers to those renting than the current one. Perhaps the owner maybe has reduced his/her standard for employees. In addition, the climate controlled units/building are not kept at the cooler temperature as they should be and once were, especially when it is an advertised feature. Under the current management, I cannot recommend this place but can state the indoor building was kept clean and access to the unit was easy.

I have used storage facilities before and have never been as pleased as I was with this site. First, the location was perfect and second, the professionalism from Bertha was outstanding. She was patient, understanding, pleasant and most of all gave me the storage I needed. The facility was very clean and accessible. Easy to enter and exit. Many storage facilities are short with their customers, but not Bertha. If you're looking for a great and safe place to store all your personal home furnishings, etc. look no further than "A Storage Place". The Chino El Prado location. Bertha will be there to serve you!
