***UPDATE as of 10:38 am: As if the initial interaction wasn’t unprofessional enough, Donna Watts and her lovely personality gave us another call to see when we could come to pick up the truck. We explained that we spoke with Penske and that they would be sending someone to pick up the truck. She had the nerve to ask us why we did not call them to let them know that. Because, that is up to Penske now. At this point, after two days of driving and being blindsided by their mistake, tensions were high and my husband ended the call abruptly. Instead of handling that professionally and moving on, Donna chose to call back and escalate the situation further by calling my husband a “coward.” Absolutely ridiculous. Atlantic Self Storage management seriously needs to reevaluate whether someone who speaks to customers this way should be representing their business. This level of hostility and unprofessional behavior is not appropriate for someone in a customer facing role. After driving for two exhausting days from Texas to North Carolina, we received a last minute call the morning after we dropped off our Penske rental from Donna Watts informing us that this location stopped accepting truck returns on the 17th. No prior notice. No courtesy call. No email. Nothing. Apparently communicating major operational changes to paying customers isn’t a priority. What made the situation even worse was the attitude. Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience or attempting to provide a solution, Donna spoke to us in a hostile and dismissive tone, as if we were the problem. We were treated with impatience and zero empathy. It’s incredibly frustrating to deal with poor internal communication but it’s even worse to be met with rudeness this early in the morning when you’re the one impacted by it. This location needs serious improvement in both professionalism and basic customer service. I would strongly advise others to confirm details multiple times before relying on this place.

We’ve had such a great experience with this storage facility! The property is always clean, well-maintained, and feels very secure. Access is easy and convenient, and the entire process — from signing up to move-in — was smooth and stress-free.

We have been keeping items with Atlantic Storage for many years now and happy with the space. Donna Watts is the GM and has always been amazing to work with. If we have any questions or concerns, she is very professional and friendly. I recommend this storage facility.
