I was a long time tenant here, but finally left due to it being insecure, it’s unprofessional managers, the egregious rent increases, then charging me even more than what was agreed and due to vermin infestation. I stored items for my business here since they opened about 7 years ago. While at first it was very reasonably priced, and I liked that it was a new facility, the rent escalated to the point where I was being charged nearly 3x what a new customer would pay for the same size unit. While I was able to negotiate a bit over the years, the last two rate increases were egregious. In June I was able to get them to reduce my rate (still 2x the new customer rate) and provide some credits but with recent management changes they did not send me in writing the terms we agreed upon and charged me the same amount for 3 more months - not returning my emails or calls for over a month and charging me late fees to boot. The unprofessionalism was astounding especially because I had been such a long time tenant and because the place seems to be maybe at 50% occupancy. After they refused to honor the agreement and charged me another late fee I told them I was done, and moved out immediately. As I moved out I discovered a mouse infestation in my unit with mouse poop in every corner and on various belongings. Also note that the facility was not secure for over a month this summer with no key code required to enter the facility or access my floor after the staff left at 6pm. I brought this to the attention of management but never received a response. One time, curious to see how late the door stayed open I did a reorganization project of my unit till well past midnight. The door did not lock and I was able to come and go from my floor. The next day I got a nasty email from a manager threatening to fine me for staying past their “closing time” to which I replied that the door was open so why did it matter. They never explained why it was open that time nor any subsequent visits for the next month. I moved to a different facility more convenient to home in Manhattan with a month free and much lower rate for the same size unit. Shop around. You can do better than this place.

The check in was very easy and the place was clean. The access to the building and elevator took me some time to navigate( sorry baby boomer lol) but after the first day it was easy.
