Prime Storage

I have been a customer at Prime Storage for years, and the decline in quality is honestly shocking. Prices continue to go up, yet customer service has steadily gone downhill. For what they’re charging, you’d expect basic competence and upkeep but that’s clearly too much to ask. I’ve had literal glass fall into my unit from ceiling light bulbs exploding. That alone should tell you everything about how this facility is maintained. The elevators are NEVER and I mean NEVER are working. If you rent a unit above ground level, be prepared to haul everything up and down the stairs yourself. And when you do manage to use the elevator, the doors won’t stay open long enough to move items in or out without a struggle. To make matters worse, a pipe burst in the building, and management refuses to clearly communicate whether my unit was affected. Instead of proactively notifying tenants, they expect me to schedule an appointment just to check on my own belongings. The lack of transparency and urgency is unbelievable. Between the constant maintenance failures, poor communication, and rising prices, it’s mind-blowing that this place is still operating the way it is. I would strongly caution anyone considering renting here to think twice. There are far better storage options out there that actually value their customers and maintain their facilities. If I could give this 0 stars I would.

10/10 experience! The service was great from start to finish, and we were taken care of right away. Everything was handled quickly and professionally. Victor was excellent—friendly, helpful, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend this storage unit company!

I've been at Prime Storage through three owners--almost 16 years and at first it was great and cheap. After Hurricane Sandy, when my room in the basement flooded, they offered a bigger room at the same price on a higher floor. So that was appreciated. And for a few years, they had an elevator operator, so you didn't have to wait an eternity for the one elevator, unlike the past years when sometimes you had to wait for 30 minutes coming and going because people were holding the elevator. But the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak, was this past fall after the fee increased, yet again, the one elevator was out of commission for two months. So, we decided to go to a more modern, one level, no icy, slippery ramp, multiple elevator facility that is $100 cheaper for a bigger room.
