Been at the Roosevelt location for years. Definitely not a fan of the company’s regular price increases - sometimes big jumps in rental costs that force you to move to another space to get a lower rate. But I’m a big fan of Jamar, who manages the facility. He’s fantastic - always accessible on the phone or in person, always helpful and kind. Whether explaining company policy or going over costs and storage options, Jamar is the best.

Frustrating Experience with property Manager's laziness at Public Storage, 400 Roosevelt Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044 I'm extremely disappointed with the service I've experienced at Public Storage btoday. The property manager, [ young lady], has been locking all garage doors during business hours, forcing tenants to use only one bay door, on a ~200+ unit propertt. This is not only inconvenient but also unacceptable, especially since this is part of the services Despite my repeated requests to open more doors, especially during peak hours or when there are multiple customers waiting, she refuses to budge until I called corporate. Her reason? "That's just how she does things." I've witnessed customers struggling to maneuver large items through the single open door, and it's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt. I believe this decision is driven by laziness, as it's much easier to monitor/open&close one door rather than multiple. However, this is not in line with the company's policy, which promises customers access to their storage units during business hours. I've been a loyal customer, but this experience has left a sour taste. I urge Public Storage management to address this issue and ensure that customers receive the service they deserve. My hope: I've since spoken to corporate, and they have acknowledged that locking all garage doors during business hours is not company policy. I've been assured that changes will be made. Fingers crossed for better service soon!

Three words of advice: stay far away. I've rented at this Public Storage for more than six years, and I should have left a long time ago. The security gate is constantly broken, handcarts are almost impossible to find on weekends, and the rent hikes are outrageous. As of today, I'm paying $447/month for the same 10x10 unit the company advertises on its own website for $134/month. In other words, the longer you're a customer, the more they squeeze you--charging existing customers almost three times what they offer new ones. This past weekend was the final straw. Weekends are the busiest time of the week, so you'd think they'd have staff on-site. Instead, when we went on Sunday, in the middle of the day, to retrieve our Christmas tree and decorations, we found the security gate broken (again) so anyone could stream in and out of the entire facility, the elevators both out of service so no one could use a cart to retrieve their belongings, and not a single employee was anywhere on the property--again, in the middle of the afternoon. Not one. More than a dozen customers were standing around unable to access their units, and anyone off the street could freely walk in because the gate was wide open. Efforts to reach Public Storage by phone went unanswered. This was not just frustrating--it's a serious liability and security issue. Public Storage left the entire facility unstaffed while their security systems and elevators were nonfunctional. That's beyond negligent. I'll be filing a complaint with Fairfax County and the City of Falls Church, and after six years of putting up with this, I'm finally moving out. I strongly urge anyone considering this location to look elsewhere
