I purchased my uhaul unit on 8/21/24, I am moving in today, (8/22/24). The staff member I was serviced by was very “nice-nasty,” and was unnecessarily giving me a hard time. Prior to coming in on 8/21, I had already come in and reserved the same unit. The manager was polite and helpful on that day. As for the staff member that worked that afternoon, he was not pleasant at all. Also, the set up is very inconvenient. You can’t park in the actual dock area, my unit is up the stairs, which means I have to bring things in from my car, parked outside of the dock. Currently, I am moving some heavy things in by myself. The lock system is inconvenient as well. I had to keep going in and out, and up and down the stairs. A staff member put a gold lock with red tape on it, on the unit. I had to continuously go up and down, back and forth just to have the right key for the red tapped gold lock. There’s no elevators, or anything to help move things into the storage unit. Even with movers to help, it would be nice to have a cart or something to help customers move into their units if I have to bring things from the lot which is absolutely crazy. I was asked repeatedly yesterday, “are you moving in today?” Besides the gold key, what does it matter if you can’t park in the dock, there’s nothing to help move, (as in carts etc.), and you’re going to be inconvenienced anyways. Something told me to go to another Uhaul. I’m upset I didn’t listen to my first mind. If I could, I’d truly get a refund from this place. Moving can already be hard enough.
