U-Haul Moving & Storage of Murrieta

I am so thankful for the common sense service I received here today. Major kudos to Store team member Aiden, who came out in the rain to fill the propane on my motorhome. He gladly helped spot me in backing up into position, he was friendly the entire time and never complained, at all. Well done, Aiden - thank you! It was a real blessing to be able to get the tank filled on my motorhome, as my son and daughter-in-law are coming to visit for the holidays, and we needed the propane for heat, so that they could stay with us. Unfortunately another propane retailer, who normally fills motorhomes, nonsensically quoted their inclement weather policy and refused to fill my propane tank. I drove 45 minutes to this U-Haul location on Jefferson Avenue in Murrieta. Thanks for coming through, U-Haul team!

This review is specifically for the U-box program. We received conflicting U-Haul communications throughout the reservation, confirmation and execution phases of our move. There were two separate U-box pickup dates scheduled, and after we completed the first one the second date was canceled causing undue grief (we were told that the boxes were no longer required per comments made at the first drop-off, and this is not true). Once that was rectified, there were conflicting dates and information on the transportation and delivery of the U-boxes. Local issues with drivers/trucks made the delivery and subsequent pickup at our new home very difficult to gauge. Upon unloading the boxes at our new home, one of them was completely disintegrating and was difficult to manage (also, allowed some moisture in that damaged some items). We also discovered that we would be charged an extra month's rent on two of the boxes because they were scheduled for pickup THE DAY the next month began. This was never made clear when we made the initial reservation and set the dates. Had we known, we would have made an effort to release the boxes sooner (basically we were charged for a month of 'storage' that we never used). At a corporate level, the app is useless and was never used to rely on anything during our move (we went online for the majority of the information we needed). With all this said, we did like the concept of the U-boxes (easy to pack and more manageable than standard 'pods'), the reasonable transportation costs, and the fact that 98% of our belongings were in the exact condition as when we left.

I wish there were more than five stars to rate Carolina S. at the Murrieta location near Los Alamos. She deserves all the stars. She was so very helpful and accommodating it drove me to tears. The entire staff are very kind and ready to assist you with your moving needs. People like Carolina are rare in the world of customer service. She is knowledgeable, friendly, kind and obliging. She assisted with all of my questions and concerns. The UHall Corporation is blessed to have an employee like Carolina. Thank you so much Ms. Carolina. Hope this review is acknowledged by management. You have a dynamite employee in Carolina.
