U-Haul Moving & Storage of West Allis

Went in on a Sunday morning to rent a moving truck. Staff was helpful and I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Truck had a hole in the exhaust but you couldn't notice it in the cabin of the truck, mostly it was just extra noisy. Truck worked well other than that. Returned it later that day, seemed like there was only one person on staff but he was kind as I waited for him and I got a paper receipt and was on my way. Solid U-Haul place. Not sure if they got a new manager or something since I was put off by a lot of...less than stellar reviews. But, at least when I was there, I'd say I had a solid U-Haul experience.

This place is horrendous, the employees are horribly unprofessional and the condition of the rentals is less than unsatisfactory. I returned my rental with the gas refilled to where it was and have a picture to prove it and they attempted to charge me $40 for gas and said I did not fill it. Also charged me for an additional day when I also have proof that I returned it on time. Then held me up on the phone for 45 mins and said they would call back and never did. Complete theft and disgusting service. I will be back to get my refund Monday and I will tell everyone about my horrendous experience. Liars and thief’s. UPDATE( I stopped in and the in person service was just as horrible, gave me complete run arounds and tried to come up with excuses as if it was my fault and tell me I was wrong. Thank god I had pictures to prove that I returned in at the time I did and with the tank filled back to where it was . Took over 3 days just to get sorted out and get my money back.

Wait time takes forever for a simple question. The process for renting a car dolly is crazy long. I’ve rented equipment from this location many times and it keeps getting worse. I won’t even talk about the website. Also, people that work here are clueless and just go by the rules that the company provides, which in many cases is just plain stupid
